Court Fee Calculator

The Court Fee Calculator (/court-fees) lets you estimate the court fee payable for a plaint, petition, or application under the Delhi court fee schedule.

Selecting the court level

Choose one of four court levels:

Level	Examples
District / Sessions Court	Tis Hazari, Karkardooma, Saket, Rohini, etc.
High Court	Delhi High Court
Supreme Court of India	SCI
Tribunal / Special Court	NGT, CAT, NCLT, etc.

Fee types

Ad valorem (value-based) fees

For suits where the fee is a percentage of the claim value:

1. Select the court level
2. Choose the cause of action / suit type from the dropdown
3. Enter the claim value in rupees
4. The calculator applies the correct slab from Annexure A of the Delhi Court Fees Act and shows the exact fee

The fee table uses cumulative slabs — meaning different rates apply to different portions of the claim value, not a flat rate on the whole amount. The breakdown shows what portion of the claim falls into each slab.

Fixed fees

For matters with a flat fee regardless of claim value (e.g., Vakalatnama, Talbana, Inspection fee, Certified copies):

1. Select the court level
2. Choose the fee type from the fixed-fee list
3. The fee is shown immediately — no claim value needed

Reading the result

The result panel shows:

• Total court fee — the amount to be paid
• Calculation method — ad valorem or fixed
• Slab breakdown — (for ad valorem) each slab, rate, and sub-total

Use the Copy button to copy the fee amount to clipboard.

Resetting

The Reset button (circular arrow, top-right) clears all inputs so you can start a new calculation.

Note

The calculator currently covers Delhi courts only. Support for other states will be added in a future release. Always verify the calculated amount against the official court fee schedule before filing — fee schedules are subject to revision by the state legislature.
