Case list & filters
The Cases page is your central case registry. It shows all cases in your workspace with status indicators, hearing dates, and court color dots.

Searching cases
Type any text in the Search box (top of the page). NyayX searches across case number, case title, and client name simultaneously. Results update as you type.
Filtering by status
Use the Status dropdown to narrow to:
- Active — ongoing cases
- Disposed — concluded matters
- Stayed — cases where proceedings are stayed
- Transferred — cases moved to another court
Filtering by court
If you have court colors configured, a Court dropdown appears. Select one or more courts to see only cases from those courts. This is useful when you practice across multiple courts and want to focus on one court at a time.
Sorting
Click any column header to sort. Click again to reverse. Default sort is by next hearing date (soonest first), so the most time-sensitive cases appear at the top.
Stats tiles
Above the list, four tiles show:
- Active — total active cases
- Hearings this week — upcoming hearings in the next 7 days
- Disposed — closed cases
- Total — all cases across all statuses
