Objections

NyayX does not have a separate, standalone “Objections” register. Depending on what kind of objection you’re dealing with, it’s tracked using one of the tools below, whichever already covers that part of the case.

Objections in execution proceedings

If the case is an execution matter (recovery of a decree under Order XXI CPC), the case’s stage tracker includes an Objections / Reply (O.XXI R.58/97) stage.

1 Open the case

Open an execution-type case. The stage progress bar sits at the top of the case, above the tab bar.

2 Advance the stage

Click through the stages in order: Execution Petition Filed → Notice to Judgment Debtor → Objections / Reply → Mode of Execution Ordered → Attachment / Warrant Issued → Proclamation & Sale → Delivery / Recovery / Possession → Satisfaction & Disposal.

Moving the case to Objections / Reply marks that the judgment debtor (or a third party) has filed objections to the execution, or that a reply to those objections is due. Every stage change is timestamped, so the case’s stage history shows exactly when objections were raised and when the case moved past them.

Objections filed as an application

An objection filed as its own application to the court (for example, an objection to a commissioner’s report, or objections under a specific procedural rule) is normally filed as an interlocutory application. Record it in the case’s Applications / IAs tab (see Applications (IA)), using the IA type that best matches, often Other, with the specifics noted in the description, and track its outcome the same way you would any other IA.

Supporting documents

Upload the written objection, or the opposing party’s reply to it, in the case’s Documents tab. Tag it with the closest Document Type, usually Pleading, Affidavit, or Correspondence, so it’s easy to find later. See Documents.

Notes on discussion or resolution

If you just need to log that an objection was raised and how it was resolved, without a formal application or a stage change, add a note in the case’s Notes tab. Notes can be dated and, where relevant, linked to a hearing.
