Pending Dates

Pending Dates (/pending) is a work queue that surfaces every case in your workspace that has an uncertain or missing next hearing date. It lets you set the date inline without leaving the page.

Why cases end up here

A case appears in Pending Dates when its next scheduled hearing falls into one of three categories:

StatusWhen it appears
No dateNo future hearing is recorded — the case is effectively adjourned sine die or you haven’t entered the next date yet
TentativeA hearing date was recorded but marked tentative (e.g., added by the NyayX scraper as provisional, pending diary number confirmation)
DiscrepancyThe date you entered manually doesn’t match what the court’s cause list shows for this case

Filtering

The filter chips at the top — All, Discrepancy, Tentative, No date set — narrow the list. Use Discrepancy first: these are the most urgent because your records and the court’s records disagree.

Setting a date inline

1 Find the case

Scroll to the case row or use your browser’s search (⌘F / Ctrl+F). Each row shows the case number, title, client name, court, and how long ago the last hearing was.

2 Tap 'Set Date'

Click Set Date on the right of the row. The date entry form expands inline beneath the case.

3 Enter the hearing date and save

Pick the date, enter the stage if known, and tap Save. NyayX creates a new scheduled hearing for that date and removes the case from the Pending Dates queue.

Discrepancy rows

For Discrepancy rows, the expanded form shows both dates side by side:

  • Our date — what NyayX has on file
  • Court date — what was found in the scraped cause list

Choose which date to keep, or enter a new correct date, and save. The discrepancy flag is cleared.

Tentative rows

For Tentative rows, the date was provisionally captured (often via the SCI live result, which can show before the official diary entry is published). Once you confirm the date is correct — or enter the final NDOH from the diary — saving converts it from tentative to confirmed.
