Reimbursements

The Reimbursements page (/finances/reimbursements) shows all case-level expenses that were flagged as reimbursable to a team member and have not yet been settled.

How expenses end up here

When a team member logs a case expense (court fee paid personally, filing charge, travel to court, etc.) and marks it as Reimbursable, it appears in this queue until an owner or admin marks it as settled.

Reading the queue

Each row shows:

  • Case — which case the expense belongs to
  • Team member — who is owed the reimbursement
  • Amount — how much is outstanding
  • Description — what the expense was for
  • Date incurred

The Total outstanding figure at the top sums all pending items.

Marking as reimbursed

1 Find the expense

Locate the row for the expense to settle.

2 Select payment mode

Click the row to expand it. Choose a payment mode: bank transfer, cash, UPI, or cheque.

3 Add a reference (optional)

Enter a transaction ID, cheque number, or note for audit purposes.

4 Mark reimbursed

Click Mark Reimbursed. The item is removed from the queue and the case expense record is updated to show it as settled.
