Received invitations

When someone invites you to join their workspace, the invitation appears in your Received Invites tab under Settings. Until you accept, you have no access to that workspace - it does not appear in your sidebar or workspace switcher.

Where to find received invitations

Open SettingsReceived Invites in the left sidebar. A badge on the tab shows how many invitations are waiting.

There’s also a dedicated Invites inbox (opened from the bell/invite icon in the top bar) that shows the same workspace invitations alongside any pending case shares - cases a colleague at another firm has shared with you directly, separate from a full workspace invite. Case shares carry their own access tier (view, contribute, or full) and don’t consume a seat.

Each row in the Received Invites list shows:

  • The inviting workspace’s name (the firm that invited you)
  • The inviter’s name
  • The role you will have in that workspace - shown as one of Owner, Admin, Senior Lawyer, Team Leader or Junior
  • An expiry indicator - invitations expire after a set number of days; rows close to expiry show a countdown

Accepting an invitation

1 Find the row

In the Received Invites tab, locate the workspace you want to join.

2 Click Accept

Once accepted, the workspace appears in the Workspace switcher at the top of your dashboard. The sidebar tabs you can see are determined by the role and tab permissions the owner configured for you.

To turn it down, click the Decline (✕) button instead - the workspace owner will see your status change to Rejected in their Members table.

Switching between workspaces

Once you’ve joined more than one workspace, the Workspace switcher in the dashboard topbar lists them all. Click any name to switch active context - sidebar tabs, cases, and the data you see all update for that workspace.

If your own plan expires while you are working in a paid employer workspace, your access there continues uninterrupted. A banner on your personal workspace will explain the situation and offer a one-click switch to the active workspace.

My own plan expired: what happens?

See Subscription & billing → Renewals and grace period for the full picture. The short version: your seat in a colleague’s workspace is paid for by that workspace’s owner, not by you. Your work there is never interrupted by your personal subscription status.

How an invite gets linked to you

When a workspace owner invites you by mobile number, NyayX resolves the number to your account right away (if you already have one) and creates the invitation against your account directly - it shows up here the next time you open Received Invites. If you don’t have an account yet, the owner gets a shareable invite link instead; signing up through that link joins you to the workspace automatically, without a separate accept step here.
