Cause lists
The Cause Lists page (/cause-lists) shows daily cause lists for five court systems and auto-matches entries against the cases in your workspace: the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, Delhi District Courts, Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRT/DRAT/RC), and Consumer Forums (NCDRC/SCDRC/DCDRC).
Use the SCI / DHC / DC / DRT / CF tabs at the top to switch between courts.
How matching works
Each source has its own case-number format, so matching is done court by court rather than with one shared rule: SCI matches on diary number and normalized case type, Delhi High Court and Consumer Forum each normalize their own case-number format, District Court matches by CNR, and DRT/DRAT/RC match on a combined key of cause type, tribunal location, case type, case number, and year (with a lookup that bridges abbreviated and full case-type names, e.g. “OA” and “Original Application”, so a case filed either way still matches).
SCI tab: Supreme Court of India
Your Matters
At the top of the page, the Your Matters section surfaces entries from today’s cause list that match any Supreme Court case you’ve added to NyayX. Matching happens on diary number and case number, so you don’t have to scroll through the full list to find your own cases.
Each row shows the court number, item serial, bench, and a link back to the case record.
Court Boards
Below Your Matters is the full cause list, grouped under Court Boards (N). Each board shows one courtroom (Court 1, Court 2, …), with every case listed for that court that day in item-number order.
A date picker at the top lets you jump to any published date; Today resets to the current day. If no list has been published for the chosen date, you’ll see “No cause lists published for date”.
Search
The search bar above the court boards filters across:
- Case number
- Party names
- Item number
- IA reference
- Diary number
- Bench code
Search narrows both Your Matters and the Court Boards list as you type.

DC tab: Delhi District Courts
The DC tab shows cause lists for the Delhi District Court complexes (Central, East, New Delhi, North, North-East, North-West, Shahdara, South, South-East, South-West, West). District Court coverage today is Delhi-only.
Your Matters (DC)
At the top of the DC tab, the Your Matters section shows entries that matched a Delhi District Court case in your workspace. Each card shows:
- Item number: your serial in that court’s run list
- District complex: e.g., Karkardooma, Tis Hazari, Saket
- Room number: the physical room where the case is listed (e.g. Room 28). When the registry hasn’t published a room assignment, the eCourts court number is shown instead (e.g. Court 797)
- Judge name
- Stage: procedural stage noted in the cause list
- VC link: join button if the court published a video link
- View order (PDF): available on rows that have a synced daily order
Browsing by district
Below Your Matters, the full list is grouped by district complex and then by court number. Expand any district to see every case listed in that complex for the day.
DC search
The search bar on the DC tab filters across case number, CNR, parties, and court number, across all districts at once.
Date navigation
Use the ← / → arrows or the date picker to browse cause lists for other dates. If no list was scraped for a date (e.g., a holiday), you’ll see “No cause list available for [date]” for that district.
CF tab: Consumer Forum
The CF tab shows cause lists for Consumer Forum commissions (NCDRC, SCDRC, and DCDRC), fetched from the e-Jagriti portal.
Your Matters (CF)
At the top of the CF tab, the Your Matters section shows entries that matched a Consumer Forum case in your workspace. Each card shows the commission, bench, item number, case number, and a link to the case record.
Browsing
Below Your Matters, the full cause list is grouped by commission. A date picker lets you navigate to other dates.
DRT tab: Tribunals
The DRT tab shows cause lists for Debt Recovery Tribunals, at the DRT, DRAT, and RC (Recovery Certificate/Recovery Officer) level, for the tribunal locations you have cases in. Use the DRT / DRAT / RC sub-tabs to switch between them.
Your Matters (DRT)
At the top, Your Matters shows entries matched to a tribunal case in your workspace, with a link back to the case.
Browsing by location
Below Your Matters, the full list is grouped by tribunal location (e.g. DRT-1 Delhi). Expand a location to see every case listed there for the day, in serial order.
VC and contact details
Where the tribunal has published one, an expanded location shows the presiding officer, the cause-list date label, and video-conference details: provider, meeting number, and password if there is one, with a tap-to-copy control for the meeting number. Unlike DC, DHC, and CF, most DRT tribunals don’t publish a direct join link, only a meeting number to dial into, so the VC chip opens the provider’s generic join page (usually WebEx) rather than joining you straight in. Court Master and technical-contact phone numbers are shown as tap-to-call links where published.
DRT search
The search bar filters across serial number, case number, case type, case year, applicant/defendant names, advocate, tribunal name, and reference case number.
Date navigation
Use the date picker to browse other dates. As with DC, DRT lists are refreshed each evening for the next court day.
